September was a milestone month for SP1 IT Solutions and our Driven Legal Tech Team. Fresh from the track at Donington Park on 20th September — where Porsche Club Championship driver Simon Clark secured another winning performance for the FormEvo, X-Press Legal Services and SP1 IT Solutions racing partnership — we shifted gears to host our very first F1 Legal Showdown, a high-energy legal tech networking event F1® Arcade London just days later.
From the track to the networking arena
At Donington, Simon showed the determination, agility and strategy needed to keep the championship alive. That same competitive spirit carried through to London, where the Driven Legal Tech Team proved once again that we’re driven to succeed both on and off the track. This time it was our guests behind the wheel, connecting, collaborating and racing head-to-head on full-motion F1® simulators.
Collaboration in motion
The evening was about more than racing — although it was racing, competition and drive that brought us together once again. The thrill of the simulators set the tone, with groups gathering around each race, cheering on colleagues and rivals alike. Every detail, from the high-energy venue to the tournament hosts and the bespoke goodie bags, made it an unforgettable experience.
A special thank you goes to our partners Clio and Diktamen Legal, who helped make the night extra special by contributing to our goodie bags and joining us to celebrate the collaboration that drives innovation across the legal tech community.
The buzz in the room said it all — guests described it as a “cracking event”, an “absolutely brilliant evening”, and “rammed” with energy and conversation. One of our favourite comments captured it perfectly: “There was a great buzz around the place.”

Law firms of all sizes, collaborators, family and friends came together, creating a unique and far-reaching event that sparked conversations across the legal tech spectrum.

Of course, no race night is complete without a podium! Congratulations to FormEvo, who raced their way to victory, with SP1 securing second place. A little healthy competition, plenty of laughs, and a lot of networking at speed.
